ATT HEADS: Question about an IPHONE?

If i lose my iphone, and am under contract, do i have to purchase another one, or can i just get a non iphone and continue with the contract?

Yes you can activate another AT&T phone and keep it moving

you can get a regular phone. but first i would end your data package. no sense in payin an extra 20 without a smartphone
