Audio editing question

Anybody know a way to cut and paste an audio file?
I have multiple 50 min audios where the prof is maybe speaking 35-40 min worth of relevant info. I want to cut out the extra mumbling and keep the rest.

He speaks fast so... speeding it up for the sake of time is not going to be useful.

I have iTunes on my mac.

Adobe Audition, or since ur on a mac, use garage band.

Insert the audio file, highlight the parts u need to remove, and cut them. Its simple, you'll know what to do.
