Audio/Video help

I recently found a stereo system and I looked on the back and saw a video/aux with a right and left female port on the back. I was wondering if anyone couldshow me the right cable to use to hook this thing up to my tv so I can use it as a surround system if thats even possible. Thanks for all the help.

Probably just an AV cable, I'd have to see the connectors to be sure.

If it's just a red/white plug, then you'll only be getting 2.0 (not surround) http://www.optimization-world.com/img/prod/rca_red_white_audio.jpg

Check to see if there's a plug for "coaxial", that will get you the 5.1 (surround)Amazon product ASIN B0001XGQV8

You can if you plug the coaxial cable into the source (digital cable box/dvd player)

digital is stereo..stereo=2 channel

it's probably matrixed 5.1 not true 5.1

Its just the red and white but how do I hook that up and my xbox 360 at the same time? Wont they get in way of each other? I have a hdtv if that helps.

You need to hook the red and white to audio out, not in. They should be labeled on the back of the TV.
