I also had the 2003 homes/bugs bunny’s and they were also pillows. I haven’t owned an 8 since, it’s like that?

Yeah man, the 2015 Chrome's are STRAIGHT BRICKS!!! I think part of it has to do with them having the same stiff *** material, the 2014 Black Infrared 6's, had. The 2015 Aqua 8's are VERY comfy, tho.
