Reviewing Avy Resize

I'm trying to figure out how to resize my avatar so you can see the entire image. On the old site you could see the entire thing with no problem, but now when I try to crop it, the crop area is like an elipse...

I feel like I see other people with their Avy's as the entire image tho, so I'm not sure if maybe I'm just doing something wrong?

And the crop literally only lets me move the image up or down. There doesn't seem to be an actual CROP function.

Hi there, I'm afraid our current system doesn't allow you to edit/crop your avatar beyond the basics. Have you tried using your own editing program to resize and crop your photo before upload?
