Happened a few blocks from where I live. I'm not the undisputed world champion of parents, but you can do a little better than that, mami.

Ain't no real parents no more. I saw a baby run the the middle of the street because the mom's more interesting in instagram the watching her child. :rolleyes

Seriously lucky that a train wasn't coming down the tracks. Baby first, everything second.

Word, those trains run every 5-10 minutes, that could have been WAY worse. I mean, fine, be on your phone waiting for the train, but give that wheel lock a quick kick before you do. Even my babytarded *** knows to use the damn wheel lock.

Accidents happen bros, parents are people just like everyone else...glad the baby is ok, can't really define a parent by this single action.

True, but I mean in this day and age, theres so much distractions that stuff like this is bound to happen, doesnt make people "real" parents or not.

Everyday you are with a child, it becomes almost second nature caring for that child and watching what he does 24/7 when you go out, a little check on your phone for a text or instagram doesnt mean you are being a terrible parent, just a little "distraction" for an otherwise routine day of watching your child. No one thnks "what could go wrong" just checking their phone for 2 seconds, routines can really be a good/bad thing. Doesnt make you a bad parent though.

I'm a firm believer that if there were better parents and more cohesive families in society, the world would be far better off.

It's a shame things like this happen

Baby's having babies. Cant expect much parenting to be involved nowadays.

Being a husband and father, this video pisses me off. I tell my wife all the time to be on alert and aware at ALL TIMES when she steps out the house. This baby couldve been hit by the train, hit his/her head against something hard and fracture something.

I agree with this. Even the "best parents" have moments when accidents happen, no one is perfect. HOw many of you have had a close call that could have ended badly? Thats life and **** happens. We don't know anything about this woman so we shouldn't judge her.

Crazy! Glad the babys Ok.

On a side note... Video editing for that segment was terrible... I was initially under the impression the woman wearing scrubs was the mother because they didnt introduce her until after they aired her first statement.

This is in my area (Philadelphia...and surrounding suburbs

  @ the 2nd video.

Glad both babies were okay.

Oh, without a doubt. I miscalculated the height of a doorway during a shoulder ride one time (today). I'm just saying where life-and-death scenarios are involved, you gotta display some situational awareness.
Also i never new OP was from West Philly
Yeah I lived around here for a while now...I had no idea there were so many Philly NTers.

I'm pretty sure it was the El stop at 56th St, I'm one stop up so it looks familiar.
Thought it was this video where the train actually went over the baby...
Damn, my heart dropped. Glad that baby survived.

Man I'm so happy I'm not that stupid. I never text while driving unless I'm at a red light and I never text while walking I stop.
