Bachelor Pad.

EACH ROOM IS 8 X 10? DAMN SON I DONT KNOW ABOUT THAT ONE.

ya the kitchen too... i know like i said small place but its 795 in NJ which is hard as heck to find... the bright side is its 20 minutes from my job and close to my friends... i still have to look at the spot so i didnt commit yet... theres another spot i could prally get thats bigger for 100 more so 895 but its like an hour from my job...so it defeats the purpose of me getting my own spot...

You can get a queen in an 8x10 fine. Wall mount your tv and push the bed into the far corner so your open floor space is when you first walk in, if you have a dresser hopefully you have a walk in closet to put it in. I don't think it will be that bad at all, esp in that part of the country yall dont have the expectation of tons of space anyways

im a pass... i saw the place today and joint was small... i could see why the girl that lives there now is moving... she had no space for her stuff lol... i wouldnt even be comfortable having friends over thats how tight it is... the whole spot is 360 sq ft... Im a just get another place that’s 560 sq ft which is $895… so its more money like a 100 more but its worth the extra space… only problem is its farther than the spot I was telling you guys about originally which is only 8 miles from my job… this place that I like which is more money is 29 miles away… it’s a sacrifice but still closer than my crib now and I would have my own spot… here is the link to the spot with 8x10 rooms that im passing on

Exactly why im a pass… joint is too small… I would be mad at myself for locking myself to that spot for a few years with no flexibility… I wouldn’t be able to bring all my stuff there….. but theres 2 spots im thinking of moving to…. Let me know your opinion… im a pick one of these spots… obviously I have to look at the spot in person first but the pictures look promising… which one is better?

awesome thread. i just moved into my first house earlier this year, and i just now finally hooked up my mancave. will be posting pictures soon.

i figured this is the best place to ask... but what yall think of a 8 x 10 bedroom and living room? can i fit a full size bed? i would like a queen but that sounds unrealistic...it sounds small i know but the rent is 795 here and in NJ is tough to find for that price for an apartment...i didnt see the place yet in person but talked to the landlord over the phone...should see it soon... they said the tenant will be leaving by first week of november... will be my first time moving out the crib and getting my own spot
I think a full-size bed is the biggest bed you could fit in the room, including a small dresser.

Queen may take up your entire room lol

If you can deal with the area then take on the 2nd choice. 1 bedroom 750sq ft isn’t bad.

I think I like the 2nd one better. I'll post pics of my apartment too, it's 2br/1ba like 975 sq ft. I need to find a better cleaner for my stained concrete floors. Somehow they stopped responding to Swiffer juice and it just makes weird streaks on it.

Any recommendations for good apartments or condos around Fort Worth,TX area? Trying to stay under 1k per month.

HOW DO YOU GUYS DISPLAY/STORE YOUR SNEAKERS? RIGHT NOW IM TORN BETWEEN GETTING A FEW IKEA KALLAX:

OR CONTAINER STORE DROP FRONT BOXES:

RIGHT NOW IM LEANING TOWARDS THE IKEA KALLAX BUT THEY DONT HAVE DOORS AND DUST BUILDUP MAY BECOME AN ISSUE. THEY DO LOOK BETTER THAN A BUNCH OF PLASTIC CONTAINERS THOUGH IMO. JUST CURIOUS WHAT ROUTE OTHERS HAVE GONE.

I have the drop front boxes stacked for my sneakers. Usually keep boots and a few high end sneakers in the dust bags or boxes

My wife and I use the ones from the container store. They had them on sale a few weeks ago.

I THINK IM GOING TO DO BOTH. KALLAX FOR MOST OF THE COLLECTION AND THEN STACK THE DROP FRONTS ON TOP OF THE KALLAX FOR THE HIGHER END SNEAKERS. I WANT TO DO ALL KALLAX BUT I DONT FEEL COMFORTABLE HAVING MY AIR MAGS OR NIKE YEEZYS JUST OUT IN THE OPEN. ALL THE SHOE BOXES ARE GOING TO A STORAGE UNIT. NOT KEEPING THEM AT MY HOUSE. THERE’S TOO MANY AND THEY TAKE UP TOO MUCH SPACE.

Those drop boxes are cool and all but spending $500+ on some boxes aint the wave for me, you could build shelves for a fraction of the cost.

the one thing to keep in mind with the ones from TCS is that the boxes are not connected to each other. they may become unstable if you stack them too high. nothing that a little double sided tape wouldn't help with though.
