Bad Science Vol. Stem Cells are from abortions DURP! (FYI they are NOT)

Just posting this video because a lot of individuals make posts and try to back up an argument by providing sources that are completely unaccredited and totally opinion. Saying their source is reliable due to the fact that the author of the OPINION claims to have some title or authority, which gives merit to their "facts" (which again are actually just an opinion). When in fact that person holds no legitimate titles, degrees, or certifications.

Those of you posting websites, blogs, YouTube videos, pictures, or graphs from non peer-reviewed sources need to stop and actually do some research on the claims that are being made and the individuals making them; before just swallowing the conclusions and taking them for facts. And when I say peer-reviewed I mean reviewed by a group of individuals who are all rightfully accredited legitimate authorities in a field.

Be careful what you take as fact especially if the claims are supposedly scientific, but coming from a blogger, journalist, YouTuber, etc... Lots of bad science out there with ulterior motives: personal, political, religious, financial, etc...�

FYI if you are in fact posting something that is SUPPOSE to be opinion or just for entertainment, and you acknowledge this, then that is alright and I'm not speaking about those kinds of posts.

This guys addresses a lot of problems that we have where people make false claims, manipulate data, or form unsupported conclusions.

You do realize my title is poking fun at individuals that think that Stem Cells are from abortions right? Because they aren't. They have nothing to do with each other.

So you just proved my point, while fitting the demographic of my post...

Actually, the stem cells that scientist would like to use come from the umbilical cord. But for some reason the government has made people believe stem cells come from aborted babies. Instead, these cells are being sold to face cream companies so women can be wrinkle free...

My goodness people! Does anyone actually read posts before replying?

YES, it is common knowledge that there are adult stem cells (notice the lowercase s and c), but my post actually has nothing to do with Stem Cells or stem cells.  It was kind of suppose to be a joke.

The US government funds both Embryonic Stem Cell research and adult stem cell (also induced pluripotent) research.  But, we need more support and funding for Embryonic Stem Cells (hESC).  Conservatives with a religious agenda always try to say they are supporting adult stem cells to try and make it seem like they are not anti-science, but they are.

If they actually knew the facts they would realize hESC are NOT from killing babies, or fetuses. They would also realize that we need research in hESC and adult stem cells because we can't push the field forward without researching and understanding both.

FOR THE LAST TIME WE DO NOT GET STEM CELLS, ANY TYPE, FROM ABORTIONS!!!!

My post is suppose to be about uninformed people making false claims and supporting their claims with bad sources/citations, and they get this information from either false authoritative figures or from BAD SCIENCE.

There are many sources of adult stem cells (umbilical cord blood, bone marrow, fat, etc...) and different kinds of adult stem cells too (hematopoietic, mesenchymal, etc...).

As you can see by all of these replies people don't have their facts straight and wherever they are getting this false information from it is from a bad source. Which is why I even made this topic in the first place to show you guys that you need to get your facts checked before discussing a topic. These replies are proving my post to be correct.
