Ok so I'm new to bars and last night I got a pregame'd pretty hard and hit downtown (sixth for all my atx people), I go to the bar and say I want TWOdos eqius. He goes into the bar and gets THREE dos equis, I politely go, "I just wanted two". The bartender leans over and goes normally I would justkick you out but ill let this slide. Now I was a little drunk and didnt know this guy so he may have been kidding but I assumed he wasn't. What did I dowrong?

nothing...but always use hand signals. like i always throw up two fingers or three or whatever when its loud in a bar. but you did nothing wrong, he justmisheard you

wth...guys a bum...you shoulda said..."cool, buy 2 get 1 free" dropped the money for 2 and took off.

He just misheard you and was being a douche.

Use your hands next time to signal the amount of drinks you want.

You did nothing wrong.

I'm assuming of course that the third one was not on the house. You didn't know the guy and you didn't have an open tab so chances are, you wouldhave had to pay for the third one. Chances are you were just drunk and couldn't pick up on his tone of voice. As you suggested, dude might have been joking

And like someone else mentioned, use your hands. In a loud $!! bar, a lot of times they can't fully hear what you're saying
