Pretty amazing how different this team will look...
- JJ Hardy and Mark Reynolds, new left side of the infield
- new 1st baseman, Derek Lee
- Vlad at DH
- Kevin Gregg and others in the Pen
paired with Weiters, Adam Jones and Markakis...that's a hell of a young nucleus for Showalter. They could mess around and fight for 3rd in the AL East

Call me crazy, but I think the A's had one of the best off-seasons as far as helping the offense goes. We replaced AA players like Matt Watson and Matt Carson with MLB talent in Willingham and Dejesus. I'm liking this Coco/Willingham/Dejesus/Sweeney outfield, since at least one of them are bound to get hurt.Originally Posted by Johnson1

yea. I really like the moves we made this offseason tho![]()
CF - Crisp
1B - Barton
LF - DeJesus
DH - Matsui
C - Suzuki
3B -Kouzmanoff/Rosales if Kouz sucks which he probably will
RF - Sweeney/Willingham
2B - Ellis
SS - Pennington
SP - Anderson
SP - Cahill
SP - Gio Gonzalez
SP - Braden
SP - Harden/Outman/McCarthy
Bullpen is real solid, I think we have a chance to contend for the west no doubt

No, I'm excited. Always.
Santana, Sizemore and Cabrera returning to good health; Choo continuing to establish himself; Carmona maintaining his talent; a potentially really good bullpen coming together; Chisenhall, Kipnis, Pomeranz, White, Hagadone, Knapp, etc. developing further; a great draft...
This should be the last season of basing success on how well prospects we traded stars for play. Assuming the expected progress from a lot of these guys is made, and the idea that the willingness to spend a little bit of money next winter is true, 2012 will prove to be a much more optimistic time around here.
