not a travel in international & the nba, this was before the ‘gather step’ rules were clarified so maybe that’s why lbj deems it a travel? that’s a legal move today since the ‘gather’ was almost simultaneous with the that 1st step it isn’t counted, the awkwardness & off timing of it makes it look a way tho

And I hate the gather step. It is “newly legal”. It that was historically a travel.
