not a travel in international & the nba, this was before the ‘gather step’ rules were clarified so maybe that’s why lbj deems it a travel? that’s a legal move today since the ‘gather’ was almost simultaneous with the that 1st step it isn’t counted, the awkwardness & off timing of it makes it look a way tho

i don’t know why the rule clarification seemed more recent to me…was wrong on that

step thru is so out of practice…it is foreign to a lot of players now

But yeah, I think we can agree that if instead of going up with it off his right foot, he put his left down and then went up it would be a travel right?

That same rationale you'd use to say that is a travel, is what makes this a travel, because his right foot goes down (toe on the floor).

Love stuff like this. So many memories of summer days and nights on outdoor courts. Love watching people hoop just to hoop. Doesn't have to be 30 people surrounding the court. Doesn't have to be runnin full. Doesn't have to be the best players ever. Just ball.
