Dude does not get enough credit, he should be in the GOAT debate IMO

Apparently after he flew to Newark from Lagos, he didn't like the cold weather and he asked a fellow Nigerian who worked at the airport what cities are warm. Random dude said Houston and he got on the next flight to Houston and committed to and played at U of H and then got drafted BEFORE Michael Jordan in 1984 and no one has had a word of criticism about that pick. If he had Scottie Pippen and Rodman on his team, he's winning four, five, six chips, easily.

Even MJ said that the only player he feared was "the big African."

And not only that, dude put up 40 while doing his Ramadan fasting. I can't imagine playing an entire game without some water or Gatorade.

Hakeem is interesting, because, no matter what he did, he could NOT beat the Sonics. Lost in six in 1987 and seven in 1993, and swept in 1996. He finally beat them in 1997, but it took Barkley being added to the Drexler squad to do it, and it still took seven games. One of those weird things where Hakeem had insane stats, but just couldn't win against the Sonics.

To wit: Hakeem had 49/25/6 (blocks) in Game 6 in 1987, and a 37-win Sonics team still won the game and advanced.
