The one at 12 seconds is just phenomenal

Not gonna lie, I'd just call travel and then leave

Cause the argument and video review would last 45 minutes and by then I'd be at another court with normal people gettin a game in.

I see what he did and what he's doing. But his whole thing is loopholes. Loopholes. It's all "nobody said a dog couldn't play". Like there's no rules you can't have an attack bird on your shoulder that pecks out the eyes of anybody trying to guard you, so that's legal in high school, fiba, nba, etc.

And more precisely, his whole shtick is from looking for dubious interpretations of basketball rules.

I'd love it so much more if instead of figuring out ways to poorly interpret the rules of how to play the game, and instead he or someone focused on how bananas keeping assist stats are. The interpretation there, the room between a pass and an assist is just mammoth, yet we almost never talk about it.

The most that ever happened was in like 2018 before the pandemic, some video went viral talking about john stockton's assists, and he was getting assists for just passes when the guy went on to make like 4 other moves and dribbles to finish the shot.

But the NBA is never going to drill down on all this stuff because it's like looking too closely at atoms and molecules. The further down you go, the closer you look, weird stuff starts to happen and it all falls apart.

And the NBA just wants to keep eatin

Also I take it back. 12 seconds is decent but 37 seconds is ******* WILD

I get it, you're playing with the "gather", but ultimately hoopers understand it's about the last dribble you take.

🤣🤣🤣

i imagine this is how our old heads talked about the game when hesis, floating crosses & dribbles entered the chat...

true enough, it would be an ordeal in the least to try & argue these moves/pickups in a random pickup game, that noted i just slightly recoil when man use the 'this ain't the league' justification for why it's not a legal move when it folk aren't playing by any recognized rule set

😎 excellent footwork & even tho this is nba clean one thing folk maybe don't give a lot of credence to is that the refs have to process so many things real time & i remember seeing interviews with nba referees talking about slightly biasing towards no calls/giving the offensive player the benefit of the doubt with the gather...it's funny that even with the ability to replay/slow motion these moves folks still call these travels 😵‍💫
