So who here is in to music production? I... am not. Not really... but I did just buy an AKAI MPK Mini Plus, and I would like to learn how to use it. Couple of my friends have been making beats since we were in HS and I never really had a desire to learn, but I wish I had back then. Anyway no time like the present. I have downloaded all the software that comes with it and updated the firmware of the device.

Well I got the prograns activated on my main PC down stairs, but I think Id rather use it in the loft and now I cant. Lol. Gonna watch some youtube vids on my next day off and play around with it.

OK so this chick from work gave me her old 2018 MacBook Air... reformatted and installed band camp. Hooked up my Akai and it works like a charm. I bought a mic and this audio interface.

Thinking about which studio monitors to buy next... I want something with an 8 inch woofer, and I think it's between these JBLs and PreSonus. I like the Yamahas but not for $400 a speaker, and the Pioneers look pretty good too. Hoping any of the above go on sale for presidents day.

I know what I am gonna play around with sampling... just imported a CD from Japan!

Ended up copped the JBLs with the studio subwoofer.

I'm happy with how it sounds, cut a good loop yesterday of some Chick Corea. Gonna keep adding and editing little by little and see how it sounds in like a month maybe.

arcade is worth the money to me there's so many sounds available
its hard to have writers block.

I have simple setup right now with logic and an akai keyboard.

for the most part get a nice computer, daw, midi, drum machine, and a synth keyboard, and speakers

Recs on 88 key keyboards? I see the prices on everything on Amazon has already gone up in the past week...
