Dont get me wrong nostalgia has its place but I think a lot of people romanticize what it was like being a kid a little too much. I mean really... as a kid 90% of your day was adults telling you what to do and you having zero say in anything.

Being grown FTW :hat

Completely agree with OP. I honestly feel that people who say things like "I wish I could be a kid, again" or "I wish I was still in High School" are probably living wack lives as an adult. Being a kid was cool and all, but I definitely don't have any desire to live that life again. Being grown and doing what you want >*

being an adult sucks. realizing how ****** the world around you is and where your own path is going really makes you miserable. to be young, ignorant, and obsessed with stupid **** like sneakers and pokemon cards again.

I believe part of childhood's allure is the new experiences we had at the time. Now that we're older, and have done plenty, life sometimes seems mundane so many people wish they could rewind.

But with that said, I agree with the poster who said those who truly yearn for their childhood again must live boring lives. After all, how much time can you spend thinking about the past if you're fully enjoying the present?

Came in here to say this :lol It's so funny that ppl use that phrase so frequently nowadays and I really just can't relate at all. Being grown and making the decisions that I want to make trumps all.

I was able to do as i wanted as a kid so carrying that into

Adulthood wasnt really a big deal.

Financial freedom trumps age maturity IMO, as long as you see others

Fail around you and gaining that wisdom early on instead of waiting to experience

It yourself puts u on da fast track asap.

Sex alone makes adulthood >*

Childhood

Pros:

Never really have to earn anything

School is a cake-walk

Set schedule

Friends are always around

Friends all have pretty much the same schedule as you, so its easy to come together.

Cons:

Subject to the whims of parents (their house, their rules)

No financial freedom

Adulthood

Pros:

Complete autonomy

Complete financial freedom

Cons:

Responsibility

Work

Limit on free time

Social life / Friendship becomes a "scheduled" event.

Bills have to be paid

this is by far the worst. Dudes be creating facebook events just to have a beer or play ball nowadays smh

I think it's fun to reflect on childhood, and to remember nostalgic things, than to relive most of them.

^ lol, word, organizing basketball games now takes planning and scheduling. It used to be as easy as meeting up at the park, on any given day.

I'd give up anything to go back to my childhood... anything.
