If you have a bass boat like myself.

Mattawoman Creek is the best spot for bass fishing, also very beautiful. Or you could go out of FT. Washington and fish along Mt. Vernon area's banks.

Some good sized bass in these areas.

If you dont have a boat, fishing from docks is boring and a waste of time. Lakes around here arent stocked well, gonna have to head to Deep Creek or Rocky Gorge for that. So it would be wise of you to find some privately owned ponds and ask permission to fish if they are stocked.
