BEST GYMS IN NYC???

Hey NT...im gonna be moving to NYC pretty soon and I've been looking for a gym to join

I know about equinox but that is way overpriced plus i hear it gets overcrowded

what are some good ones...mainly that are clean and are not packed with people?

how are the prices there?

well the NYSC is like 80$ a month and u sign a 1 yr contract.

dolphin got a nice deal now for 18 months for 300$

i got to planet fitness. it think there good.

no free weight bench though.(that really pissed me off when they took it out)

but my gym has a tv on every machine and alot of benefits with the black card. free tanning, message chair, 1$ drinks,free shirt holla

Dolphin prices are the biggest steals. Something like $300 for 13 months.

Like the guy a few posts above, planet fitness is cheap and has everything you possibly may need. Membership is $10 a month and you can pay $20 to get the black card memebership to get all drinks half off and you can bring one person every visit. About the free weights, mine has them.

NYSC- clean, great facilities and friendly. i heard a lot of bad things about bally's total fitness, atleast the ones in queens

Stay clear from Bally at Fordham. It's affordable, but it gets crowded if you don't have a flexible schedule.
Ballys at Co-op city have that rustic vibe. Most of the equipment is outdated. The only positive is that it's usually deserted.

well NYSC is like 70-75 a month and 10$ more if u want a membership to ALL the locations. why not just go to www.nysc.com ?

Best gym is NYU sports complex..... Take a course and you can use the facility. Outdoor & indoor track, pool, hoops, weight room....you hot senioritas too!!!

Definitely the best deal in town. Lots of professionals in there at night too.
