Best point and shoot camera for $300

i am going out of the country and looking for a good point and shoot camera for about $300.  i would prefer a camera that saves in raw format because i'm looking to create HDR photos. im really new to the photography game and just wanted to see if any NTers could suggest something to me.

thanks everyone for the suggestions. i ended up copping a canon sd3500 is. i know it doesn't shoot in raw format but i figured this is my first camera and i might as well get use to using a camera before making a better purchase.
