Best route from Va to H-Town driving vol. Are we there yet??

I need any info that you guys might now about traveling along this route. should I avoid any places? Im trying to get there fast but safely so any info would be great. Thanks fellas

You will be going through the southern states for sure, Tennessee/Georgia/Mississippi.

You'll be mainly on the freeway, so why would you want to avoid anything. It's not like people are going to be trapping on I-10.

Take I95 south to I20 west. I20 will take you all the way to Texas. It's a nice flat drive. No winding roads.

DO NOT TAKE I40. AVOID Tennessee. Those winding hills will kick your butt.

Depending on where in Texas you are going you may want to Get off I20 in Atlanta and take I85 South to Montgomery and pick up I65 to Mobile where you can pick up I10 west.

Once you are below the Appalachian Mountains the key is to angle your way home.
