Best way to invest $1,000?

I know it isn't much, but I recently came across some funds.
I was wondering what was the best way to invest the money and if any of you guys have done something similar? 

I'll most likely save it if I don't come up with anything.

Thoughts?

I would save it imho...

don't put it in stocks, not that it's a bad thing, it's just that with only $1000, you'll just be wasting your time, or you'll end up buying some really risky #*$#.

Find a CD with a good interest rate.. its hard to come by at the moment but some banks have better than others
