Better Call Saul Season Thread - Season Six - April 18th

Yeah I'm cool with the pace. The show is lighter so it's gonna be harder to create some of those "oh ****" moments.

I'm intrigued by the Cinnabon flashforwards though. Are they gonna give us a peek once a season or is it gonna fast forward to it at some point?

No.

After the show is done, 11pm est I'm gonna post about it like I do after I watch every other show.

It's up to you to have the self control not to come in to the thread that is active knowing full well that ppl are discussing it. I nor is anyone else posting for your convenience or when you're ready to read.

Am I the only one who hated this episode?

Edit: I just felt like he gave us no traction or progress. After the S1 Finale I thought it was gonna turn up.

I feel the exact same way....but the preview for next week's episode gives me hope that things will start to turn up. Last season started out kinda slow too.

Why does Davis & Main want him so much? Is he just working on that case or is he a full-time employee?

Where was his income coming from before he took the job?

I think from what I remember from S1 that they wanted him on to work the case since he started it but there was a chance who could stay on and be capable of being a partner one day.

Jimmy had no steady income before this. Just that payday with that couple that stole all that money. Then getting all those old ppl as clients and handling wills and what not.

solid episode, I'm out here trying to decipher the flash forward scenes like they mean something though, I need to calm down with that :lol

Im rewatching BB on demand and I'm so blown away by the acting, directing, writing.

BCS didnt try to switch the flow because they wanted this to stand alone.

Although I think this show stands on its own two feet its still refreshing that this is BB 2.

I love you Vince.

It is pretty clear Vince and Company are laying the ground work for Jimmy transition into Saul in this episode. I don't mind this at all especially since its going to make for more drama later on.

On amc the other night, Vince touched on what some of you are taking about, Slippin Jimmy's transition to Saul.

Basically: wait.

They said they get a feeling that people are wanting it to happen super fast, and that's not what they have in mind.

They said the show is less about how he became Walter White's lawyer, and more just about Saul's life before. He was an interesting character on BB, so we're seeing who he was before.

Vince mentioned that he gets a feeling from fans that fans want it to hurry up and be Saul Goodman, and then we tune in every week to see what hairy case Saul got into this week, and how he gets out of it, like a lawyer version of SVU.

And that's not what they have in mind at all.

im still in on this show
but the pace in certain episodes has seemed very slow...like we already seen saul run scams and be very good at it. him declining and then accepting the job just felt like a waste of time.

ppl saying BB was slow paced i disagree with. the opening scene of the show was soo dam intense. and in s1 alone so much happened, and that was only 7 eps

If there is anyone that deserves our trust, it's Vince. I will wait patiently the entire time for what his payoff will surely be. He could film grass growing for 2 seasons and I'd still be tuning in.
