Honestly, I can understand black people being more traditional, 'Romneycrat', John McCain style conservatives (small government, pro second amendment, anti-abortion, anti-lgbt rights, etc.). I actually know quite a few people who hold these beliefs. It's not my cup of tea but I get it.
What I don't get is being a black Trump supporter. I'd love to sit down and have an open and honest conversation with them on how they support this guy.

That's a very serious thing that I remember discussing during mentoring a few years back. We need to show a extreme degree of discretion when choosing to help anybody. Helping someone in the street or showing chivalry can unfortunately end in imprisonment or death in America.

On top of not doing anything positive for you, he has made it worse and less safe, while insulting you (this is factual, not libby innuendo or conjecture). I'd never have that conversation, I don't have the patience, but would love to see someone try.

I am the authentic African experience. My childhood was between Wash. DC/ Malawi/Joburg/Zambia until I was a pre-teen and I have a bunch of family all over Africa. I understand what you mean tho.

I've seen this answered plenty of times by people who aren't stuck on choosing a side btwn liberal/republicans & their arguments have been doused in monetary gain through stocks etc etc. They have argued that all politicians more than likely aren't going to really try & help black people so they're option is go with the candidate that they could personally gain the most money with & then continue to try & build black wealth
