Black Culture Discussion Thread

 This one might get some traction.

Every year some idiot tries to say “DC/Pg is like Atlanta”

Exposure is fine but Most (not all) people don't just up and go to the hood out of curiosity

Might be lured in by the Indirect glorification of it thanks to the internet/media. They just need 1.person to bring them around.

white people do, they bold too open a yoga studio next to the trap house and become friendly neighbors.

I always said if I had to be in a black city, it’s DC/VA/Maryland area, then Houston. I feel like those are perfect for me.

I HATED Atlanta. Reminds me to much of Miami and Fort Lauderdale
People think Houston is the place to be for black folks, in reality it's Dallas.

black young professionals thrive in that area, Houston is currently going thru a downturn especially they/them controlling the job market in houston.
The same thing is happening in DC..DOGE disproportionately impacted black people...but there's a huge opportunity in the military industrial space in the next few months/years

IMHO The best way to play this move is to invest in defense ETFs.

The best defense ETFs based on assets, performance, and expense ratios include the iShares U.S. Aerospace & Defense ETF (ITA) for broad exposure, and the SPDR S&P Aerospace & Defense ETF (XAR) for a more balanced approach. Emerging options like the Global X Defense Tech ETF (SHLD) provide focus on modern warfare technologies, while Invesco Aerospace & Defense ETF (PPA) offers strong 10-year performance.

Dollar cost average.

Hell nah. Dallas feels like a bland, soulless, wasteland. Like if you fed ChatGPT stereotypes about Americans and told it to generate a city.

Regardless of race I wouldn’t recommend Dallas :lol
everyone experience will be different, but Dallas has the money for young black professionals.

Thought the whole point of spring break is to be at the beach so trying to make H town the new spot for that doesn’t make sense from jump, folks asking to get scammed n go thru bs :lol

Houston just like how ATL was with the nightlife now, it’s funny how it just moved to a different city but I seen it coming years ago when the city started to become a hotspot right before the pandemic…Wonder where those folks moving next

People gotta wake up myself included, Texas and its cities aren't like other cities totally different way of life out here. It's best for people to stay offline and stop watching the propaganda lifestyle videos.

You spot on, ppl just following trends from social media somebody said let’s go here n they followed blindly without due diligence …Like if you did any research or tapped into folks in the city why would you want to go to Sekai in the 1st place then STLL pull up to an outdoor venue when it’s storming wondering where everybody is :lol :{

I’ve been to Houston a few times. I may be wrong but it just doesn’t seem like a very touristy city so it being a spring break destination now is interesting.

it's absolutely isn't, whomever is selling it as such is honey trapping out of towners into trouble, i would assume cause Miami and other spring break cites are clamping down on the the disorder as well.
