Black Culture Discussion Thread

That's what i'm saying when I say we should collab, like with all the history and everything we know you would still come to the table and walk away with nothing and be used again? Do you have no faith in your people? I feel like people never look that far though. There's crips and bloods making a lot of money together.

It’s crazy to me how the mummies of the Kings and Queens of Ancient Egypt are being controlled by people that look down on Africans today.

They held a Pharaoh’s Golden Parade today when moving to the new Grand Egyptian Museum and we were nowhere to be found in the audience.

We’re so disconnected from our past and trying to fit in with everything else while others are holding on to our ancestors and not letting us in. It makes sense as to why Black/Africans go through so much, if you believe in all of that.

lol reminds me of when I was at work and this old black lady said good morning and I mumbled good morning and she yelled at me again "GOOD MORNING" cause she didn't hear me the first time. I wanted to be like lady, I don't know you.

They can hold the bodies, but they have no connection to the essence of who and what we are. All we need to do, is the relinquish the control that christianity and the other beliefs of abraham have over our people, and then returning home.

I'm a sub-saharan African. Specifically West African. Those are not my ancestors. Africans, sure. But I don't pretend to have any greater connection to them than sharing a continent. It doesn't make sense.

i've been leaning more towards this mentality in recent years.

Been there for more than twenty years.

Everyone I know, knows to not call me that, and I do not used the word at all.

I also eschew drugs use of any kind, nobody offers me weed, nor alcohol either when I hang with brothers I know.

I am the reliable righteous brother when stuff gets out of hand, a nice thing to be known for.
