I still fall victim to respectability politics. It sucks because I also feel like people's inability to think the worst of their fellow man is a problem. Like a lot of people just think "well people just can't be that racist/evil/bad/etc". But they are.

But yeah if I happen to have a suit and tie on, I'll do "iffy" things that day to try to take advantage. Like if I need a customer service person at a store to give me a refund or to see things my way, etc. It's sad

This was a rundown of his legal issues from 2015-2019. Man o man. I’m surprised he’s avoided a long jail term.

The rape was definitely alarming. The language pretty much states he’s guilty. His lawyers must have compensated the victim.

i can see what you’re saying, in general as it relates to a lot of criminal offenses…but rape???

Its not about going to bat for anything, its about when do we let people do their sentence for their time and then we forgive (dont forget) and move on.

Mike Tyson spent years in prison for rape, do we need to bring it up everyday? no we dont, we let them do their time and we move on. No one is perfect
