BLU-RAY EXPERIENCE VS. THEATER EXPERIENCE?

Which do you prefer? Big action visual movies like the Transformers are best seen in theaters, but for me, there is nothing like sitting at home on your owncouch with a cold beer watching a suspense on blu ray. I honestly didnt go see Watchmen simply because I knew I'd enoy the movie so much more at home onblu ray. Which do you prefer? it all depends on the movie subject to me.

Unless, I have a super high end entertainment system like the type you see on MTV Cribs, then theater 100% of the time. Those 60/70 inch LCDs/DLPs/Plasmas dontcompare to a gigantic movie theater screen.

I do understand why some people prefer the teater but for me, I just understand movies soooooo much more once I see them at home on dvd or blu ray lol. Maybethats just my ADD acting out.

Watchmen in IMAX > Any other way to watch it.

Plus the sound in a theater >>> any other way.

Until they shut them down I'll continue to go to the theater.

If only for the nostalgia of being a little kid and staring wide-eyed at the big screen. Going to the movies is an experience and it only gets replicated inthe theater on the big screen with booming sound.

Would I love an amazing home entertainment system? Of course.. who wouldn't, but nothing tops the movie theater.

theater like sound isn't hard to achieve

Yeah I know, but it costs a lot. I know I dont have any extra money to get even a basic surround sound system.
