Jay was in a zone when he made this album. Every cut can stand alone and I just love bumping it. It's an anytime, any mood, any season album. You canplay this forever and not tire of it.

Classic album.

What do you like about BP?

overrated.

i don't know how it can be considered a classic when there are skippable tracks on it.

Blueprint of Hip Hop by KRS>>>>Blueprint the rapper/producer>>>Blueprint by Jay-Z

EDIT: I'm not really a Jay-Z fan, but Black Album, Blueprint and Reasonable Doubt are 3 of his albums that I really like listening to.

I wouldn't consider BP a classic because of a couple songs that I skip through

^^^

Yep. Those tracks are very much "skips".

"All I Need" is my *%$+ though.

BP CLASSSIC!!!! Takeover crazy diss song, whole album is bananas!!! Heart of the city, Lyrical exerisce, cant go wrong wit BP

I've always thought this album was crazy overrated.

Regardless, amazing production and Jay on point = great album.

It's a good album but thats where it stops. The most overrated album of the past decade, easily.

That #!%% is a classic and the most important album of my 20 years on earth. Say what you will, but that's the album that "awakened" me to thelayers of rap below the surface. I've always heard rap, but I wasn't necessarily listening. I went from a parrot to a writer thatyear. That album dropped the same day as the towers for God's sake. So memorable

Easily agreed.

Go ahead, show me a more WELL ROUNDED album. The Blueprint may not be the greatest at any one thing, but I'll be damned if it ain'thitting on all cylinders.

Im not sure what you mean by well rounded but I feel that ATLiens, Doggystyle, TES, (I can name more but I don't feel like typing them all out) are allmore "well rounded" than BP. At least by my definition. I just don't see the big deal with the Blueprint. I bought it on Sep 11th listened to it,didn't enjoy it that much. Tried getting back into it again recently and I still wasn't feeling it that much, I like BP2 more than BP. Just because Idon't like it doesn't mean its not a classic album though. I understand that the general consensus is that its a classic, I just feel that itsoverrated.

I'll just put it to you like this as a rapper... trying to re-create the Blueprint vibe, sound, and TIMING is impossible. But if it could bedone, and replicated, The Blueprint "formula" would produce more success for more aspiring rappers than any other "formula" so far. Ask aguy who never played ball who his favorite player is. You'll get a zillion names. Go ask a person who LIVES for basketball. You'll get one name 93% ofthe time. The Blueprint is to most rappers of my era as Jordan is to mosthoopers of my era. Even if they don't realize it....

Looking back, I didn't care for "Hola Hovito" either. So that's 3 tracks I might skip.

But there were also too ill bonus tracks no one had mentioned. That "Girls Girls Girls" RMX is crazy.
