They are separated

She didn't have sex with the Doc. She is dating. That happens when married couples are separated/estranged

She told Charles she is love with ole boy, and it is fully over at the end of the episode

In the preview of the finale, seem like Charles is accepting it because he told her they will always be friends.

All things considered, she been pretty considerate to Charles after how he acted.

Her sons are kingpins. If she was just worried about money, she doesn't need the Doctor.

Also, Charles finally has the means to wine and dine her because of the tour and residency And she still chooses to end things
