BMW Dealership

I took my car to the BMW dealership today for some new brakes. They were covered under the warranty, so I didn't pay any. I did have a bad tire, so the guy charged me to replaced that, about $300 for a new RFT. Anyway, when I got home I noticed a few scratches on my front right light and a few small dings next to it above the tire, not the tire he replaced but the the same wheel that needed new brakes. I am almost positive I didn't make some dings and scratches myself so I called the dealer when i got home and told him there was a few scratches I think something might have caused he told me to come in tomorrow and him and his manager will take a look.

they should have cameras but its always hard to determine who's at fault with situations like this.

I don't get how scratches appear on your lights. Brakes and tire replacement don't require work close to that area. They should've picked up on anykind of damage when you brought the car in for service. Suggest that you see the vehicle inspection sheet, and if it says everythings fine, the dealer should cover it. Either way, I think the dealer should cover it. Getting the dings out and buffing the scratches shouldn't be that hard.

Before they service the car they usually do a quick physical inspection of the car, looking for any scratches or dents and they will make note of anything before taking it to the shop. If you can get a look at the inspection sheet with them saying it was clear of all that before they took it then you should be able to have them fix it...

First of all he was it was covered which means the service is free. Second BMW techs actually have to be trained unlike an independent shop where you never know who is working on your car.

Happened to me at a Car-x.... got my brakes done and when I got the car back the hood was popped and a huge 12" scratch was on the hood. All the paint was removed.

I called them out...and nothing. They said it was already there.

Lucky for them its an old +@* car, but I am still pissed over this.
