This exhibition is coming to Atlanta and I'm organizing a trip for my classmates to go as a group. Pretty neat stuff.

Body Worlds (German title: Körperwelten)is a traveling exhibition of preservedhuman bodies and body parts that are prepared using a technique called plastination to reveal inner anatomical structures. The exhibition's developer and promoter is a German anatomist Gunther von Hagens, who invented the plastination technique in the late 1970sat the University of Heidelberg.

They had this in St. Paul for like a Summer or so and I went and caught it on the last day it was in town.

Pretty cool and eery knowing that the thing we're looking was once a walking and talking human being like us

I was there on vacation. It was def some weird stuff. It was cool tho.

You have to give it props on its artistic merits as well. This is not easy to do I would imagine.

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't those unidentified bodies from a Chinese prison or something similar to that?

Not sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if some of these bodies were obtained without consent.

I was super nerd and went on opening day when it was here in MN

I wish I had waited, they didn't have all of the exhibits in yet so I ended up missingthe horse one and a few others. I highly recommend it.

This is the one that does NOT use the prisoners, that's the other bodies exhibit - there are two. This guy has no problems getting donations, people signtheir bodies over with a quickness

it's pretty cool.

My thoughts exactly. I went to see the Bodies exhibit when it was in Atlanta

I know people consent to have their bodies donated to science in death...that's how med students get their cadavers. I don't know how this guy go his bodies.


Back home, there's a Black Market for human cadavers and body parts

Most of them are unclaimed bodies @ the Morgue.

I definitely did not know my balls started in the abdomen... So that's why it felt like they were in my tummy that one time I got nut checked inthe 7th grade. Okay. Good stuff.
