Sounds cool but they are getting over on you. Leasing is bad enough this sounds even worse.

It's not so bad considering it's NY, and some folks are already paying 600+ a month for insurance alone.

do they cover gas? i think itd be worth it if they cover the gas too
My ***** said for 15 a month he want it all

yeah,
especially with in insurance in NYC costing $2k+ a year with full coverage.

Exactly. NYC insurance jig is sickening

Cadillac sees the potential in the city and are visionaries

Watch Dodge, Nissan, and Honda drop cheaper alternatives when they see this take off (it will)

Also could see BMW and Mercedes offering a higher priced version as well.

I think one of the most attractive factor is that you aren't locked down for a few years.

Being able to try it out for a month or two or three and then walking away without any fees makes it at least tempting.

There absolutely are fees though, it is just built into that outrageous monthly payment.

Eh, not really.

But I don't blame you if you feel that they charge you an exit fee every month...

Porsche joining with their own subscription program.

Dubbed Porsche Passport, the monthly subscription service allows users to receive on-demand access to up to 22 different Porsche vehicles via an app.

Two different memberships will be available including an entry-level Launch subscription which allows users to select between eight different models including the Cayenne, 718 Boxster, 718 Cayman S, and Macan S. The service costs $2,000 a month but it includes "white-glove vehicle delivery," insurance, maintenance, and detailing as well as taxes and registration fees.

For an additional $1,000 users can upgrade to the Accelerate subscription which offers the full 22 vehicle lineup. Besides the models mentioned above, the Accelerate package includes the 911 Carrera S, Panamera 4S, Cayenne S E-Hybrid, and Macan GTS.

Besides the monthly costs, users will have to fork out $500 for a one-time activation fee. Membership will also be conditional based on a background and credit check.

It's smart, overpriced to normal folk like me but think about how many vehicles alone you'll sell after someone is basically test driving cars for $1500/mo.

25% of your monthly on a whip (no contract at that) is bad now?

You’re making $150k a year and spending near 40k on leasing a whip basically?

So yes that’s dumb

Now if you’re making $500k then sure

Guess I’m just being smart

I know plenty people making $100-150k a year AFTER taxes and I know they aren’t spending even $1k a month on a whip to buy let alone to lease or rent

Again my opinion

math is off with $1500 payment on a $12k monthly salary, it's not 25% but 13%

which is $18k a year and if you make $150k annually, depending on your lifestyle (like if you're single) then it isn't too bad

at the end of the day it is a luxury option, not exactly the most practical and it really isn't suppose to be
