The Idlewild Trilogy by Nick Sagan. (Idlewild, Edenborn, Everfree).

I've yet to find Everfree/get it in from overseas, but it's some interesting !@!+. One of my fave science fiction books..


Also, The Strawmen Trilogy (The Strawmen, The Lonely Dead (called The Upright Man in the US) and Blood of Angels), by Michael Marshall. It's murder,conspiracy. Very good too.

I think Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged is one of the greatest books ever written - and this is despite the fact that I completely disagree withher. I think her perceptions of capitalism were a bit Swiss-cheese, idealistic, and naive but her books are nothing short of FANTASTIC nonetheless. I wouldnot, however, recommend starting with Anthem only because the story, while novel in it's time, will probably seem trite and predictable to someone familiarwith story lines common in popular culture.

anything by nicholas sparks is good and get you laid
