You really gonna use this as an excuse to take potshots at legal gun owners rather than criticize the criminal who broke multiple exiting laws (such as, "don't try to kill people") doing what he did? Despicable.

I sure as hell wouldn't want a gun weighing me down and affecting my movement while playing sports. Not to mention a baseball field is a place I wouldn't expect to get attacked... guess I thought wrong

President Donald Trump said the gunman had been killed. Federal law enforcement sources identified the shooter as James Hodgkinson of Belleville, Illinois. Hodgkinson is 66.

Not that it's "THE reason why he did it" (Sanders himself would never support or condone this kind of action), but it's potentially a motivating factor that the shooter was a Bernie fan and campaign volunteer...

Just posting information... like I said, I don't believe at all that supporting Bernie causes someone to do this. Some websites mentioned that this guy was "Never Trump"... well, I was "Never Trump" and I would never do this. However, his political affiliations obviously played a part in all this, since he double-checked that the people on the field were Republicans before shooting.

FWIW,  I was "Never Hillary", too... I don't like Republicans OR Democrats- I'm Independent.

Just posting information... like I said, I don't believe at all that supporting Bernie causes someone to do this. FWIW,  I was "Never Hillary", too... I don't like Republicans or Democrats- I'm Independent. 

I think we can somewhat agree that a person who's capable of committing something like this clearly isn't the soundest of mind, so examining his thought processes trying to find the reasoning is a moot point, IMO. People who are capable of things like this are only waiting for the right thing to push them to that point. If it wasn't this, I feel like it would have been something else.

But the political climate has become so ridiculously mean spirited, I'm not surprised it was this. I don't think politicians of political parties should be held accountable in any way or blamed for occurrences like this unless they're outwardly promoting violence on individuals i.e. Trump.

I thought the shooter was gonna be asian since asians are not as athletic and most of their parents were not supportive of them playing sports growing up, they make for good role players, whether that be shooting or something else. Most will only do the minimal asked of them. Also, asians will usually not argue with you.
