Bromance

I'm half way in this situation. Out of the group I was the first one to get married. I make an effort to chill with the bros every now and then but it seems like the same old same old.. dudes end up talking about their girl problems or how to meet/approach/not get played by women.

We are in the process of trying to find other married/serious couples to hang with.

bro...

This can be applied to the yambs as well...

As a matter of fact... Its interchangeable.

1. Get money
2. Get buckets
3. Be fun

You get yambs/bros left and right...

Haha... Yeah, females are a little different though

A. Be good looking
B. Have a tolerable personality
C. Have a job

I have three best friends that have had my back for 7+ years each now, and most of my suitmates (6 out of 7) from my Freshman year and I are close. That's enough for me.

Thankfully they all know how much of a loner I am, so I know the majority of them and I will be bros for many years to come. :hat

Fully agreed on bros not being true bros if they don't know your parents and vice versa.

That's the thing.... Real bros can be drinking buddies but drinking buddies are not real bros. if my bro get in a fight I'll swing first before he even thinks about it. If you got a bro that's not willing to do that for you then cut that fake bro out.

If you've never seen your bro during the day time, he's not your bro

If the only thing that's fun to do is get drunk, that's not your bro

If your bro has nothing to talk about while sober, he's not your bro

I feel weird now. Im 25 and all of my best friends are from 12 years old and before. No one moved or if they did we kept in contact.

We've gotten in physical fights but your homies are just that, homies.

And these dudes losing friendships over yambs in HS/college are lame. :x

lost my bro to this last year

Grateful that I have homies who are down for me. :smokin

Its tough to develop friendships after college though.

Networking will gain you plenty of associates, not necessarily friends or bros.

This is my life. Been in a serious relationship for so long don't eem have any bros no
More. The bros that I could hang with now that I'm single are either in that tied down relationship stage too, or they are degenerate pieces of crap that do drugs all day and cause drama. No in between.

I want a bro to play ball with and video games. Go out drinking and pull broads. Toss a football around a day drinking house party scene or something. Don't have that. Feels bad man.

Nah dude high school is puppy love and it goes both ways; friends are generally the ones who cause it bc you don't give them 100% of your time once you have a girl

College is a different story, no excuses

It gets tougher as you get older bros, ya all start to have kids, get married, real life responsibilities, work schedule, you find yourself seeing your bros 2 times a month if lucky and has to be planned in advance....that's just reality, now we keep in touch through Watsapp, we pretty much have our own chat and it feels like the old days because we can go there and catch up all at the sake time, go on roast sessions, etc...just like chilling on the buildings front steps back in our day except is on a phone....one of my bros is out in Vegas living there currently, going through some tough **** but I truly feel our chat keeps his spirits high because although he's out there alone, he somewhat has our chat to make him feel like home.

On the flip side, being a bachelor has its perks but as your best buds get married off and have children means less time for bar hopping, football Sundays, etc.

Relationship status plays a huge factor in my experience (mid-20's).

Def very true; that is how I always was. I had girlfriends or hook ups regularly but I enjoyed my freedom way too much compared to all my friends settling down and always having things to do (manly because of the girl). I just recently decided to settle down now that I have gotten all that out of my system.

You got to have a balance around you. a small circle of friends, small circle of female friends and your yambs

Op. Cosign word for word except replace girlfriend with wife.
How the hell do you make friends as an adult?
My old job was all angry menopausal women. I would rather watch Netflix and drink a 6 pack by myself then hang out with them.

My friends are all pretty much engaged/married expect my one best friend who is now in a serious relationship so you start to see the times you see your boys go from like 3 times a week to maybe 3 times a month. I actually enjoy it now more than I did when I felt like I HAD to get together for every little thing we had going on.

Like last night we all meet up at Dave and Busters; drank a couple beer towers and grabbed burgers then went to see Anchorman 2, I enjoy the random boys nights more than the Friday, Saturday, Sunday, etc.
