tourism is huge where i live so i know how irritating it can be. there’s an area where i like to take the fam to fish and swim and since IG, people like to come by and take pics there. makes parking more difficult and there have even been times where people ask if my son could move over so he won’t be in the pic and i always tell em nah. this is the spot:

and then there are the numerous hiking spots that are overrun with tourists. the trails can’t sustain high levels of foot traffic and they get ruined like this:

so the guy has to maneuver his way up some stairs and now he feels disrespected lol.

theres mich bigger tourists spots not only in NYC, but all over the world where that locals have to deal with.

moving up some damn stairs isnt one of em lol

Agreed. It's ridiculous. They're acting like they have to navigate Queensbridge at midnight in 90's when all they have to do is say excuse me to walk up some stairs.
