anyway...this is the one "interesting" pair of Christmas customs I did this year. I love doing customs for people that have actual personal meaningto them.
I did them for a lady that wanted to get shoes for her husband. He is a mapper, and was stationed in various countries this summer. They also took a vacationto various contries as well so she wanted to get him shoes with a map on them. We then decided to add red stitching to follow the path of the countries hevisited (France, Barcelona, Kosovo, Germany, Amsterdam.....etc). She wanted to roll with muted, earth tones, and nothing flashy. Aside from the map and redstitching, I incoporated tan ripstop. I chose it because it has sort of a grid built into it that I felt played well with the longitude and latitude linesfound on maps.

these are really nice EL! everything from the box, label, and details in the shoe are amazing. plus, i love me some ripstop! shape is on point as well.
