Jay_Glazer: Vikings I'm now hearing are prepared to do whatever they need, including giving more $$ and more time, to get Favre to reconsider

I just heard he signed with the Miami Heat... greatest troll team of all time.

Week 1, when the Vikings are down a few touchdowns, he'll run down from the stands, put on his uniform, and make a "triumphant" comeback
Report: Vikings prepared to offer Favre money, time
Posted by Mike Florio on August 3, 2010 1:41 PM ET
Regardless of whether Vikings quarterback Brett Favre is getting the word out about his Third Annual Retirement in order to buy time or more money from the team, the end result is that he'll likely be offered more time and/or money from the team.

Jay Glazer of FOX reports that the Vikings are prepared to offer more money to Favre, over and above his current $13 million, and more time to join the team.

Either way, we still think Favre will play.

Yup, Brett and BUS COOK know exactly what they are doing.

Who knows, maybe his ankle is wrecked and he can't go.

But with this dude we know the drill and it's useless to even talk about it. Favre and Cook have the Vikings by the balls and have so much leverage it's not even funny. Skipping camp (something no NFL player probably ever has been able to do) was the first step (Vikings agreed). Now it's the money angle....and Cook knows Favre is probably worth $25 million to the team, far above his 2010 salary. (Vikings will agree) Cook will play up the "king saving the town" angle and Favre will "return" somewhere between now and Week 6 (Vikings will agree). And lastly as of right now Favre himself hasn't uttered a word so we can assume this was agent or media driven info today.

And hey as an added bonus we get ESPN and the national media to cover this like this is shocking news we've never heard before.

ehh i think its for reels this time, ive been a long time favre fan and packers fan, and it has never been about an injury as he's claiming now, he always said if he cant perform at his highest level then he would hang it up, i think he's forcing himself to retire b/c of a bum ankle
