Asking a forum is not going to give you any useful information. Prices vary from provider to provider, from state to state, from city to city, and the time of the year. Call up whoever is your provider(s) in the area and ask what specials they have.

it doesnt matter what service other people have because not all companies operate in all areas. what matters is the area you are moving too and what companies offer the services you are looking for in that area

lots of companys will give you cable + internet + phone cheaper than just cable and internet

Thats crazy, i was just talking to my friend about this. I currently Verizon fios internet, and thats %*@$%$% 64.99. It was 54.99 last month but now im out of contract its bumped up $10. Which is @%+%!*#%. I was considering that Clear 4g internet thing, but i dont know how it is...Anybody here have any reviews?

But to answer your question OP try optimum online, i hear nothing but good things from them..and time warner...#@%* verizon

^and what if his area doesnt have optimum online, or time warner, or even verizon

judging by his sig, i assumed he lived in Brooklyn. I live in NYC also, so have an idea of what Providers are in the area.

i recently switched from tw to fios. tw was apparently cheaper however fios has the better quality of service...that is for more $$$, like 74.99 in my area

Yea im in brooklyn, i kno the area is key but i just wanted to get a ballpark estimate On whats out there. I know getting all 3 might b the best way, but i can rly do without the house phone

^i mean i havent had any problems with verizon. The pricing sucks though, but i guess in the end its worth it. I've never had Optimum though, dont think thats available in Queens (thats where i live) only in Long Island and Brooklyn. But people that i know have it, are very satisfied. Not sure what their plans are like to be honest though. There are different internet speeds companies offer too, so that has an affect on the pricing, I dont know how much you use the internet.

Just get Internet service and split the cable into the TV. BOOM, two for 1.

Here's how you do it, especially if you stay in an apartment ...

Cop the cable internet .. mine is $35 a month.

Tell them you want internet in two places... if they say offer you the wireless modem, say no and tell them you will move it back and forth until you buy your own router.

Both will have internet. The internet and cable comes thru the same line.

Split one line to the TVs in the crib. The other one, keep the router and modem plugged up.

Bong. You got a twofer ..

They can put a little chip on the line, but most cable dudes don't even bother.

You can ask them to take it off if there is one, or take it off yourself. Its super duper easy famb.

Got a great internet package, and cable in three rooms for $35

^^^What he said works thought I actually got the wireless modem and when the cable guy came in gave him an extra $20 to keep the cable on and he actually ran the cable to the other room to. He was a pretty cool cat

i dont know your financial situation, but i got rid of cable completely to save money. i download and stream everything now. a laptop with an HDMI out is one of the best investments i've made. and if something's on a local channel, i can just use an antenna to catch the OTA signal.

Studio ftl

the only way it wont work is if you dont have TWO places where a cable line can be plugged in.
like they stated earlier, you can drop the cable dude a couple dubs and basically get whatever you want.

he's getting paid... and no one will know what he's doing... so he's going to take the money.

$40 for an extra 15 min of work?

shiddddd.... sounds like some sladewilson hustle.

not sure about FIOS... if its cable internet and cable tv, you're good b/c they come thru the same line.
my bill is $35 for the interwebz.. .they tried to stick me w/ one of them 30 year payment plans... got my daddy like that on a cadillac...

i told them i was straight... you will need the box if you go after all those out of the ordinary channels, like BET jazz.

but if you need the regulars... (ESPN, comedy central, MTV, BET, most channels 2-70 something) you can just plug it in...

this way is also the DOPENESS b/c if you have an HDTV, perform a channel search and it will find your local HD channels..

i catch all of the games that come on ABC, FOX, and CBS in hi-def.. its normally channel 70-3, or 72-5... somewhere along those lines.
