That extra half mile at the Belmont always proves to be the impending doom.

But there hasn't been a triple crown winner in what, 37 or 38 years? I'm rooting for it to happen.

You're probably one of the few. There's very few instances where I don't want to see something historical occur in sports. Off the top of my head I can only think of vehemently cheering for the Giants to beat the Patriots in Super Bowl XLII.

I don't follow horse racing at all but I rooted for Funny Cide, War Emblem, Smarty Jones, and Big Brown to get it done. Smarty Jones almost did it too, had the lead at the final turn, but ran out of gas in the last furlong
