I'm looking for a 2004-2006 anywhere from $10k to $20k with under 35-50k miles on it. Any place to find a good deal besides Cars.com and Autotrader.com? I 've been on GTOforum.com also. If the deal is good enough I might even think about shipping it. ( If the mileage is under 10k and the Carfax checks out) Area code 07112 by the way.

Update:

I need some wheels ASAP. Credit was a big issue. Disregard first post.http://www.cars.com/go/se...gId%3D28705&aff=national

Just saying...if you want an unreliable vehicle then by all means - buy an Pontiac.  American automotive companies make great trucks and SUV's.  But their cars are trash, with the few exception (Cadillac, some Lincolns, higher end sports cars).

I wonder why I see so many grand prixs and grand ams from early 90s running so good.

I'm guessing that you own a Pontiac.  I'm sorry if I offended you by saying your car is trash.

Well you are wrong on this one! For starters the gto is not a American car in some regards. The name and the engine is American but the body is foreign. The gto's engine is the same one used in the corvette. I have a 2003 Monte Carlo and my car is very reliable.

Then I stand corrected...I guess the GTO belongs in the 10% reliable car category.

Shut yo lame self up..

You just like these NT idiots that buys into "American is trash" and never owned a recent American car. CTS, Pontiac G8, Malibu, Fusion, Vette and etc are comparable to their European and Japanese counterparts.

And if you knew ANYTHING you'd know the current GTO was built and manufactured by Holden.. GM's Australian subsidiary that has a pretty good track record in terms of reliability

you might find an 04-05 for that price range... but the '06 dealers and sellers tend to try and get 18-22k for them because it's the BEST model and hard to find.

I would go for the 05. Stay a way from 04 it has a smaller engine ( 5.7 with 350hp) versus a ( 6.0 with 400hp).

Yeah I preferably want a Torrid Red 06'. But the problem is they're not enough automatic transmissions to go around in the NorthEast.

I guess you didn't read what I wrote...I guess you're one of the NT illiterates who can't read.  I didn't say all American Cars are trash.  I said 90% of them are.  The recent ones might be better than the older late 90's and early to mid 2000's - it's not my fault American car companies produced some GARBAGE.  Just like American, German and Japanese cars had/has some bad apples.  But don't tell me American Cars produced nothing but GREAT cars.

You sound like a SALTY American Car owner who gets mad when ever some one talks down on your vehicle.  At the end of the day...who cares.  Drive what you want and spend you're money the way you want to spend it.

I on the other hand - won't waste my time and money buying American cars.

^Well that's cool, but the specific car that the OP asked about does not fall under that category. He asked about a GTO and here you're going off on an "American" car and by "American" I mean Australian...

GTOs are fine, and with a full exhaust? Even better. Good luck, and I know you'll enjoy that car LS2 model, right?
