wasssssssup my NT brethren. I'm looking to get a camera in the 200 dollar price range... I don't really need any crazy fancy %$*, a digital cam. Just for f.b pictures, family gatherings, school events etc. So what should I be looking for? what features to check for? thanks..

Get a Canon powershot series. I don't know which one but the one that is in the $200 range. Canon has the best point and shoots compared to any brand and most out there.

Either the Canon PowerShot SD1400.. Panasonic Lumix ZS7.. or the Sony CyberShot H55...If u got a lil more to spend then the Sony CyberShot HX5V or Canon PowerShot SX210...the SX130 is koo but not a fan of the bulkiness...to me the Sonys perform the best under low light situations (clubs..parties..etc) Canons have the best overall quality

By the way i 've been workin at BestBuy in the camera department for more than 2 years

Quick question.

Anybody know if this cameras worth the $?

Nikon CoolPix S1100pj

I read some reviews and most of them were good, just that the screen is a little laggy.

Its not for me, its for my GF.  Its prob only gonna end up being used when she goes out or whatever.  I just thought the projector was cool for when shes hanging out and wants to show pics.

This. I got a Canon PowerShot SD1000 3 years ago and it still works good. It says 7.1 MP but I think it is way more than that lol, the pictures come out crispy clear. Don't ever buy a Casio I don't even need to explain why. Not a camera fanatic but the MP isn't always everything.

^^^^I would say no for the price but I find that girls aren't attracted to good photos and are into camera's just being cute. I will say this again and again, do not get a Nikon point and shoot. It took 2 camera's for me to figure this out and then I finally owned a Canon and never looked back. I own a Nikon DSLR but Nikon's are a little better in that department. Also the lens on those pocket cams are horrible for night shots and even flash photography.

But on the flips side, I am sure she would think that camera looks better then a Canon one. So up to you in whatever pleases your girl.
