I was kidding about the AIM/Chatroom thing...
Pretty sure they'd pick someone who's shown good behavior on the website before making someone a moderator.

If a mod bans another mod, then that mod can ban every mod, then that mod can proceed to ban everyone and take over NT

Mods can't ban, they can only warn. They can, however, ask an admin to ban someone.
