my boy is a sponsored skater out here in hawaii... his birthday is coming up, i think im gonna hook him up with his first pair of jays. technically the airjordan one is one of the original skate shoes anyway, plus with the canvas material im hoping they will hold up. what do you guys think?

if he is serious about skating I doubt he'll want anything other than a shoe made for skating to skate in. But getting an Infrared 1 from a friend wouldstill be a great gift regardless of whether he uses it to skate.
