Can you download pics to an iPod touch?

Just got my free iPod touch (student rebate wit my MacBook purchase) n was wondering if I could download pics from safari directly onto the touch and not thruthe laptop or Itunes. If possible let me kno pls. Thx I appreciate it

Press and hold on the picture, and hit save.

What about saving pics from facebook? It wasn't working for me

You could zoom in and press hold and the home button and it saves it in the photo section its like a print screen on the computer
