- friend drove my car
- friend gets in accident
- not my friends fault
- my friend gets no ticket, other driver gets failure to yield and reckless driving
- whose insurance pays for my car? ( friend is not on my policy)

Well if your friend wasn't at fault then it seems like the other person's insurance would take care of that.

other car will pay for your car's damages...but expect your insurance rate to increase
if your friend got hurt and required medical attention....your insurance will cover his medical bill

In the state of Maryland you get a $2500 PIP. All insurances policies require it here. Basically your friend has $2500 worth of medical money, and your insurance shouldn't go up. I think it's the law.
