Car advice needed

I'm looking to spend around $20,000 for a car. I'm leaning towards a 2011 Sonata GLS or a used 2009 Altima Coupe 2.5. I know on this board probably hate on the Sonata, but I like the new design and I've never had a new car. Anyone have any experience with either car? Thanks in advance.
