So I have a car battery that has been sitting out in the open for about 2 months now.
It has rained a number of times over these past few months, my question is: Is it safe to try to use a carbattery that has sat in the rain?

I'm selling a jalopy to someone and the current condition of hte car is that it doesn' start, but i may be able to get a few hundred $more if I can start it.
Ideally, I would like to install an old battery that I have lying around to get the car going.

test it first with a voltmeter and see if it has the proper amount of juice. If it does see if it works. If not just charge it. What have you got to lose.
