Any way to remove it?

It's not a simple as just spraying it on, there's a lot of prep work to get it right that's why unless you know what your doing best to take it toa pro...now to remove it you need some paint thinner and probably some sand paper and just go to work...it's not going to be pretty....

^ i have paint on mine and looks very clean almost like the lights came black... but i had a pro do it...

aight thanx alot yall. Home Depot would have paint thinner rite? I need to head over there first thing tommorow morning

how much does a good dark tint run...i'm thinking doing it wen I get my rsx

^lol I'll try to post pics tomorrow cause its dark out and tha only camera I have is tha one on my phone.

but ya its pretty bad, I even got some paint on tha bumper and was trying all day to get it off, but no luck.

I'll give tha paint thinner a try tomorrow

Wait..did you actually just take some spray paint and went to work on the lights? No wash or prep.?

^ na. I bought some blackout spray on ebay last week, and I read some of tha comments that tha other people who bought it from tha seller left and they saidthat it was a great product and very easy to use, so my dumb %+$ thought that I would be able to do it too, but I thought wrong.

I did'nt really do any prep, all I did was wash the lights with some soapy water before I did it

Don't use sandpaper on it, just try to remove it with paint thinner first. And how did you get paint on the bumper? You know you're supposed to removethe taillight before you try something like this, right?

rookie mistake...jumped in over his head...everyone does it at least once....

i'm assuming you used niteshade? but anyways, i think its time to buy a new set of tail lights lol.

real talk, that stuff isn't easy to use. alot of prep work and its pretty tedious.

if you wanted the smoked/blacked out look, you should have went with some overlays (google bluebatmobile and it'll come up) so u can still get that look, but don't have to mess with any paint.

listen to angel and just tint it. you don't need a professional custom shop to charge you an arm and a leg, just ask around and there's bound to bepeople to do it for the low. there's guy who go around tampa smoking out tails and all they charge is like $30.

please tell me you took the tail lights off your car before you tried this....lol

Your tail lights will never be the same...no matter what you do. I would just buy a replacement set on ebay.

BTW niteshades works great IF you do it right. I used it on my truck and it looks perfect

thanx everyone. If tha paint thinner doesnt work out, I guess I'll just get some new lights and have someone tint them for me next time.

btw, anyone know where I can get tail lights that are actually black, not tinted? I originally wanted to get those but I could'nt find them anywhere onlineso I just settled for tha spray tint.

paint thinner/varsol are your best bet. but now that its dry, its not going to be easy. i say take the L and go get replacements from the junkyard and tryagain with window tint

just windows, you can just get a darker tint. I'd go with 20% because they'll appear black during the day but at night, your brake lights willstill be visible.

don't bother with the spray just get overlays...pre-cut easy to use minimal prep and it looks just as good...it's what I used 20%
