CAR HEADS, is Wheel Works company trying to "get" me

alright,

so i went to go get me wheels aligned the other day at wheel works. My car doesnt drive straight, it slightly turns to the right.

I brought it in for a alignment, and they told me i need to get new tires. The tires have good tread on them already, 3 of the tires are the same brand, and the other one is a different brand..all same sizes though 225/40/18.

after they "did the alighment" the guy at wheel works told me to fork out 500$ to get 4 new tires cause u need all tires to be the same....my friends dad told me brand tires shouldnt matter as long as the sizing is correct (his car is different brand tires also), he says theyre trying to get me.

what do you think NT?

At a car repair spot I wouldn't be shocked if they were trying to put a dent in your wallet.I've never heard the "same tires" theory before,but i'm no expert on that stuff.Have you called any other places?

You don't need new tires then. Go to a different Place and get a proper alignment.

they're definitely trying to get you.

demand that your alignment is free for trying to take advantage of you. if they refuse, report them to the better business bureau

its actually recommended that all 4 tires should have same tread design for performance ...but in your case, they just trying to do there job and sells tires ...if u dont need the tires just say no ...
